With Victims of Gender-Based Violence

(en espaņol)

http://www.ippfwhr.org/whatwedo/bastatools.html

The following tools were developed by IPPF/WHR staff and affiliates based on recent experiences approaching gender-based violence in the context of sexual and reproductive health care. These tools are a work-in-progress and we welcome your suggestions and comments.*

NOTE: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files.

1. Definitions: What is Gender-Based Violence?

2. Screening Tool: This tool assists service providers by providing simple and direct questions to ask clients about different types of violence.

3. Sample Stamp for Client Intake Form to Record Information on GBV: Designed to accompany the Screening Tool, the Stamp allows providers to adapt their client intake forms easily to include information about gender-based violence.

4. Management Checklist: This is designed to help coordinators ensure that the most essential steps in the process of developing a GBV project are being carried out effectively.

5. Legal Framework for Service Providers Addressing Gender-Based Violence: What providers need to know in order to help victims.

*It is important to note that many already existing tools produced by a variety of individuals and organizations were used as background information for the elaboration of these documents.
