Question n°11
Where can I go for help or information?
In an emergency
- Dial 0 to connect to the services you need from wherever
you are
- Dial 911
to connect to the police or ambulance in your area
- Dial 411
to ask for the number of the provincial or
territorial police (if your community is served by them)
You can dial these numbers free from any pay phone in the
country.
If you are concerned about abuse
of women, children or older
adults, see the first page of your Bell telephone book for numbers to
call.
Not all services are accessible to people with disabilities. If you
need an accessible shelter or transition house, it is a good idea to
call ahead and make sure they can meet your needs.
